Nach bhfuil an aimsir go hálainn! Bhí na páistí amuigh sa pháirc don chéad uair i mbliana ag am lón inniu is iad ag imirt peile, ag piocadh nóiníní agus ag spraoi. Is féidir leo a ghnáth éadaí a chaitheamh de hAoine in ionad éadaí scoile. Ach más é do thoil é, cuir geansaí orthu freisin; níl an samhradh linn fós!

Aren’t we blessed with this wonderful weather. The children were in the pitch for the first time this year at lunch time. As it’s the last day before the Easter holidays, they are allowed to wear their own clothes instead of the school uniform. But please send a geansaí with them; it’s not summer yet!

Ghlac paistí páirt i Scór na bPáistí i Mainistir Chnoc Muaidhe dé Domhnaigh seo chaite. B’iad Kelly, Lorna, Amy agus Rachel a bhí ag damsha cor ceathrair. Chan Cathal Down by the Sally Gardens. Bhí Kelly, Amy, Aaron agus Cathal ag seinm uirlisí ceoil. Rinne Rachel aithris ar an dán deas fhada The Old Priest Father Gilligan. Sa bailéad ghrúpa, bhí Christopher, Aaron, Cathal, Amy agus Kelly. I dTráth na gCeist bhí na bheirt Rachel agus Amy agus d’éirigh leo! Fuair siad an tríú áit agus beidh siad ag an gcomórtas Craobh an Chontae ar an Domhnach, 29 Aibreáin. Rinne na páistí go léir an jab go deo agus táimid an bródúil astu. Maith sibh!

The children took part in Scór na bPáistí in Abbeyknockmoy on Sunday last. Kelly, Lorna, Amy and Rachel danced a four hand reel. Cathal sang Down by the Sally Gardens. Kelly, Amy, Aaron and Cathal played a variety of instruments – tin whistle, flute, fiddle and piano accordion. Rachel recited the lovely long poem The Old Priest Father Gilligan. In the ballad group, Christopher, Aaron, Cathal, Amy and Kelly  sang two songs with tin whistle accompaniment. The two Rachels and Amy took part in the Table Quiz and came third! They will be taking part in the County Final on Sunday 29^th April.

The children performed really well and we’re very proud of them. Well done!
